(ATHENS, Ga.) –The University of Georgia Ice Dawgs announced Thursday a partnership with the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL. The Ice Dawgs will play two games at the Macon Coliseum next month.

“We’ve always appreciated the incredible support from fans in Macon, a city that holds a special place in my heart, especially since it graciously hosted our home games during the challenging COVID season,” head coach John Camp said.

The Ice Dawgs will face the University of Delaware Blue Hens in a two-game series on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26.

“With UGA football on a bye weekend, this is the perfect opportunity for our fans to explore the vibrant downtown of Macon while cheering us on in our games against the University of Delaware Blue Hens. We invite everyone to join us for an exciting weekend of hockey and community,” Camp said.

The Mayhem will host the visiting Fayetteville Marksmen on Friday for College Night and again on Saturday for Oktoberfest. Fans with tickets to those games will get two-for-one hockey, with the ability to stay for the college hockey games for no additional cost.

The Ice Dawgs will take the ice against the Blue Hens immediately following the conclusion of the Macon game on Friday night. Game two of the series will be played Saturday afternoon.
